No Smoking at the Trust

Tameside Hospital operates a smoke free policy which prohibits all patients, visitors and staff from smoking anywhere inside the hospital building or grounds. Please do not ask the staff on your ward to bend this rule for you or your visitors - they are not allowed to.

Smokefree

All health agencies in Tameside and Glossop are dedicated to supporting smokers to quit, and provides on-going support to help you remain smokefree. With the help of Tameside and Glossop smokefree service you are four times more likely to succeed. The service offers free support to smokers who live or work in Tameside and Glossop at convenient locations and times in your area. Choose from a range of methods that suit you, such as: group or one to one support, drop-ins, telephone support, and support in workplaces. We also have two dedicated Specialist Stop Smoking Advisors based at the Hospital.

You will supported by one of our specialist advisors throughout the process, providing you with up to date information on nicotine replacement therapy and other non-nicotine based products.
