Team: ISCAN Complex Needs Nursing Team


What do we do?

We support young people, their families and / or carers in the following areas:

  • Assist in meeting the health needs of children
  • Offer support for families and signpost them to other services
  • Provide individualised Health Care Plans
  • Provide equipment
  • Safeguarding and child protection
  • For some families we are their lead professional
  • Immunisations
  • Health screening and nurse led clinics
  • Specialised sessions within schools
  • Health promotion
  • Supporting transition including the writing of passports


We also offer training and support to help develop the skills of those that work with and have contact with the young people.


Where are we based and where do we work?

The Children’s Complex Needs Nursing team is based at Rowan House in Hyde, but work in a variety of different settings e.g. Mainstream schools, community clinics, special schools, the young person’s home and nurseries.



Who do we work with?

Young people aged 0-19 in Tameside and Glossop, their families and / or carers.

Opening Times

We are open from 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays.  We have an answer machine for you to leave a message outside of these times.
