Tameside and Glossop Diabetes Helpline
17 April 2020

During this difficult Covid-19 pandemic there may be people who are at a greater risk of infection if they experience a deterioration in the control of their diabetes.

Your GP is your first point of call, however Tameside Diabetes Service has set up a helpline to provide advice for people in the Tameside and Glossop area who are experiencing problems directly related to their diabetes or are suffering from any condition causing high blood sugars.

The helpline free phone number to call is 08000 85 38 85 and is available 7 days a week between 9am and 5pm. (after hours - please leave a message on the answerphone leaving your contact details). The helpline can provide information related to blood sugars, insulin pens and glucometers. The helpline will be manned by doctors, nurses and other health care professionals. Advice will be given immediately or via a call back to discuss diabetes related issues only.
