Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT are currently running elections for Public Governors, with Governors to be elected for each of the following areas-

  • Ashton-under-Lyne
  • Glossop
  • Stalybridge
  • Rest of England and Wales
  • Hyde
  • Droylsden

You may already have received a post-card through your door, asking if you would be interested in standing for election and representing your community’s interests in the Trust.

The Trust’s Governors are responsible for representing the views and concerns of the public to the Board, and holding the Board to account for its performance in leading the Trust. Governors are elected for a three-year term, and can serve for up to 9 years in total before having to have a break in service.

If you wish to be nominated as a candidate, you must complete and return a form to the Returning Officer (Electoral Reform Services Ltd) no later than 5pm on Friday 7th February, 2020. Late nominations cannot be accepted by the Returning Officer. If you want to be nominated, you will be invited to submit a photo and election statement (250 words maximum) which will be circulated to voters to assist them in choosing who to vote for.
