On Wednesday 16 October as part of Fab Change Day ’19 the Comms team were out and about across the Trust getting staff to pledge to support the Trust’s green campaign Save Planet Tameside and Glossop.
Staff pledged a variety of things ranging from recycling more, to using their cars less, using less single use plastic and buying fewer items that contain lots of unnecessary packaging.
Save Planet Tameside and Glossop is the Trust’s strategy to be greener and to reduce our carbon footprint and make the Trust more sustainable.
In the morning the Children’s Ward, Children’s Outpatients, Catering, Maternity and ISGU teams all made their pledges. Then in the afternoon staff at Ashton Primary Care Centre, Cricketts Lane Clinic, Rowan House and Selbourne House made their pledges in exchange for one of the reusable Save Planet Tameside and Glossop plastic bottles.
