Fitness legend, Mr Motivator is coming to get the community of Tameside and Glossop moving at the Family Fun Day on Sunday 8 September, from 11am until 3pm.
Mr Motivator rose to fame in the 1990s, doing fitness workouts on Breakfast TV in his trademark colourful unitards.
Throughout the Family Fun Day Mr Motivator will be doing fitness workouts and demonstrations suitable for all the family – so come along and get involved!
Mr Motivator provides mass workouts and his unique way of exercising has meant that he is in great demand to provide fun fitness sessions for schools, charities, community and corporate groups.
Mr Motivator said, “"I am so looking forward to being there so that I can continue to prove how much fun you can have from being active! The curative power of exercise can benefit us all physically and mentally.
“To increase your levels of fitness doesn’t have to cost anything , there are so many things you can do, from walking, dancing ,going up and down the stairs, gardening or just getting out the home and enjoying the local public green spaces.”
If Mr Motivator wasn’t enough, we also have a full schedule of live entertainment including: a live DJ, dance troupe and a Bollywood dancing group. We have got over 30 exhibition stands within a giant marquee at the rear of the hospital. These exhibitions range from healthy eating advice to information on mental health and diabetes.
We will also be joined by our local partners including Be Well Tameside, Blood Bikes Manchester, Glossop Mountain Rescue and fire and rescue - all bringing along exciting activities for all the family.
For children there is a good selection of fairground rides to ride for free. There is also a whole range of foods to indulge yourself in including a cookery demonstration – healthy of course!
Chief Executive Karen James, said “This year’s Family Fun Day at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT looks like it is going to be the best one yet! Now in its seventh year we open the doors of the organisation to our local people, to help look after the health and wellbeing of our local community.”
It’s a day not to be missed and great fun for all the family, so why not pen it in your diary for Sunday 8 September, 11am at Tameside Hospital.
