Healthwatch Tameside is the independent health and care champion in Tameside. Through ‘What would you do?’ we are trying to reach as many people, groups and communities as possible to get feedback on how they think local NHS services should change.
The Government is investing £20 billion a year in the NHS as part of the NHS Long Term Plan. Local organisations are working together to develop their own plans, which will set out how the national plan will work across local areas.
The public are being asked for their views about how services could be improved. They are also being asked to share ideas on how people can live healthier lives, what improvements they think could be made to help people access services quickly, and how technology can be used more effectively.
For more information, see our website www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk where you will find a short video, and a summary of the NHS Long Term Plan.
There are two types of survey, and we are asking people to complete a survey(s) (takes about 10 minutes each), using the most relevant link(s). Don’t worry if you don’t live in Tameside – the data analysis will be used to influence local plans around the country, GM plans, and national plans, so your anonymous answers will be fed into the relevant area. Also, people who work in Tameside may choose to use services here or require emergency treatment in Tameside.

There are also condition specific surveys (for people with experience of those services) –
Please help us by completing a survey(s), and forward to family, friends, and anyone you know. It’s not often the NHS asks what anyone thinks – please help us to give people the chance to have their say. The closing date for the surveys is 26 April 2019.
Paper copies of the surveys can be obtained from our office by ringing 0161 667 2526, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
