Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT, the Trust that runs Tameside General Hospital and community services across the borough, is delighted to announce the appointment of Sam Simpson as the Trust’s new Director of Finance.
Sam joins the Trust from Cheshire and Merseyside Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) where she has held the position of Director of Finance for 18 months. Prior to that Sam was the Director of Finance at Manchester Mental Health and Social Care. Sam has worked in the NHS for over 20 years, and also has experience of working in Greater Manchester Police, higher education and local authority.
When asked about the appointment, Sam said: “I’m delighted to have been chosen as the new Director of Finance at Tameside and Glossop. Over the past five years the Trust’s reputation has grown and grown and I am really excited about joining the team. I am looking forward to the challenge ahead and the opportunity of working with colleagues to achieve the aims of delivering high quality integrated health and care services that are clinically and financially sustainable for the people of Tameside and Glossop.”
Karen James, Chief Executive added: “We are really pleased that Sam has agreed to join the team at Tameside and Glossop. Sam brings with her a wealth of experience and already has previous working knowledge of the area.”
Sam replaces current Director of Finance, Claire Yarwood, who leaves the Trust on 31 May 2018.
