If you are struggling to get out and about because of loneliness or isolation then Fit Over Fifty a not for profit social enterprise organisation can help you, thanks to a Lottery grant. Their Chaperon project which been running for 4 years in Tameside is now available to those people over the age of 50 living in Gee Gross Hyde.
The project offers 4 free visits lasting up to 2 hours each, traveling in the chaperons car, they will stay with you whilst you shop, visit the park or anywhere you wish to travel to, all we ask is a donation towards the petrol.
The service starts in a few weeks time so please call so we can get you registered.
The same age group of people in Romiley and Woodley in Stockport can also take advantage of the service.
