This service has now been an annual event for over twenty years and organised by the midwives, hospital chaplaincy and various others, for bereaved parents and their families. The service always follows Rememberance Sunday, it is a multifaith service and all denominations are welcome who wish to remember their babies. Following the service there are refreshments and an opportunity to speak to the staff who participated in the service. The Harebell Suite (named from the flower that depicts grief) situated in our maternity unit is where we care for bereaved parents. Fundraising by staff, parents, families and the public enabled us to become a registered charity. Money raised funds staff training and helps to keep the Harebell Suite furbished in order to meet the needs of parents.
