Children's Ward receives hundreds of Easter eggs

Children at Tameside Hospital were overwhelmed with chocolate as more than 300 Easter eggs brought a smile to their faces.

Thanks to generous donations from Stagecoach Buses, JD Williams and the local Police Community Safety Officers who delivered the eggs to the children’s ward just in time for the big Easter weekend.

Whilst enjoying the chocolate eggs, children were also busy creating Easter cards for patients on the elderly care wards in the hospital.

Children’s Services Manage, Stephen McLaughlin said: “We were blown away by the generosity of this donation. The chocolate eggs have certainly made a lot of children happy today, we are really grateful for the kind donations.

“The children were really excited to take their cards to the elderly care wards and this really helped bring a cheer to the patients staying there.”
