More than 70 people popped in for a brew and biscuit on Tuesday, October 1, and as well as making giving donations, there were tombola, raffle, charity card and jewellery stalls.
One enterprising visitor, Margaret Swift, had even put her horticultural prowess to good use with donations of £1 in exchange for a bag full of apples, onions or beetroots.
Of the money-raised, £232 will go towards Tameside Cancer Complementary Therapy Service, which supports the therapy service for cancer patients, as guests could indulge in a relaxing aromatherapy hand massage in exchange for a donation.
Susan Robinson, Macmillan Cancer Nursing Services Coordinator, said: “On behalf of the Macmillan Team thank you very much to everyone for their continued support, especially for making this our most successful coffee morning ever.”
On the first and third Tuesday each month, from 10am to 12pm, Macmillan Cancer Support runs a drop in session where patients can get advice on their condition, what support is available to them, access complementary therapies, group relaxation sessions and buy and learn how to style headscarves if they have lost their hair during treatment.
