Tameside Hospital Introduces Activity Boxes in some of the wards

As part of improving the experience of our patients with dementia Tameside Hospital has initiated activity boxes for each ward. These have been put into use recently on the hospital wards and are being used to engage patients. The activity boxes are part of a person-centred approach to dementia care.

Response to Monitor’s announcement regarding plans to transform Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust into an integrated care organisation

Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group and Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council welcome the announcement made today by foundation trust regulator, Monitor, that they will be commissioning a team of experts to look at a ‘first of its kind’ integrated health care organisation for the people of Tameside and Glossop.

Staff at the Tameside Hospital Endoscopy Unit, are celebrating the news that they have received the prestigious national quality accreditation for achieving and maintaining the meticulous standards set by the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) on Gastro-intestinal Endoscopy.

Billy Fury Tribute raises money for Physio Department

Ken Martin and David Faulkner both from Denton visited Tameside hospital earlier this month to hand over a cheque to the Cardiac Rehab Physio Department for £1,040. The donation is from the 'Billy Fury Tribute Concert' which was held at Denton West End W.M.C. in May this year.
