Hello and welcome to this month’s blog. It has been just over six months since I took up post with the Care Together programme, as the independent chair, and I would like to use this month’s blog to look back and reflect the work we have done so far.
The spotlight will be turned on the Friends and Family Test (14 to 18 March 2016) in week-long initiative aimed at boosting the number of people giving feedback on their NHS care and treatment.
Thousands of people across Greater Manchester have taken part in a health snapshot survey to help shape health and social care plans for the next five years – although more residents in Bury, Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton are being urged to get involved.
Tameside Hospital is celebrating being awarded an ‘outstanding’ status by the Department of Health.
As you may have seen in the news, Junior Doctors are planning national industrial action for 48 hours from 8am on Wednesday 9th March until 8am on Friday 11th March. Further stoppages are also planned to take place on Wednesday 6th to 8am Friday 8th April and Tuesday 26th to 8am Thursday 28th April 2016
