Barbara's tale of Grandma's War raises funds for maternity unit

When Tameside Hospital Governor Barbara Anderton lost her mother, she started to write notes of all the tales from her childhood.

And now Barbara, 73, has turned those notes into a book to raise funds for the hospital’s Bright Start Appeal – to help raise £50,000 forTamesideHospital’s Maternity Unit.

Grandma’s War – memories of a childhood is now available at a cost of £5.50, with fifty percent of the proceeds going to the Bright start Appeal.
