Iron Man visited the Children’s Ward at Tameside Hospital to surprise the children, their parents, carers and the staff. He spend a morning in the Trust playing with the children and posing for photos.

Trust surges past research target

Great news, our research department have surpassed their 2018/19 recruitment target, well ahead of the end of the financial year (March ’19). The NIHR Clinical Research Network set us a recruitment target of 401 and to date 671 patients have consented to a research study in 2018/19. This is fantastic news for our local residents and our patients.

New primary care access hubs open in Denton and Stalybridge

People who are registered with a GP practice in Tameside and Glossop can now access healthcare professional appointments in an extended hours period, at two, new additional primary care access hubs in Denton and Stalybridge.
